Welcome to OHA's Electronic Filing Pilot Project

Effective February 1, 2007, OHA's Electronic Filing (E-filing) Project is a pilot program allowing parties to use OHA's website to electronically file selected documents in proceedings before the tribunal.

Participation in E-filing is voluntary. Parties may opt for either electronically filing their documents via OHA's web-based electronic form or by facsimile transmission.

The pilot program will be used to assess both the administrative benefits and costs of adopting a robust E-filing program. The E-filing Pilot Project will be evaluated and may be modified at any time to accomodate both OHA's needs and feedback from E-filers. Accordingly, feedback is enthusiastically encouraged and appreciated. Feedback from E-filers, interested parties, and the public may be submitted by clickinghere.

With the exception of Civil Rights cases, E-filing may be used in all administrative proceedings before OHA including HEA cases, GEPA cases, Debarment/Supsension cases, Salary Overpayment cases, and Wage Garnishment cases.

For purposes of document submissions to OHA, "E-filing" refers to the electronic submission of a pleading or legal document. Since the electronic submission of a document encompasses facsimile transmissions, OHA's general procedures for E-filing are the same for submissions by facsimile or by web-based E-filing form. For more information onOHA's Facsimile Policy, gohere. For information on where to file a hard copy of your E-filing, gohere.
